Dear DRPS,

Being involved in community activites benefits everyone. By helping your community, you are making it stronger, making new friends, helping those who may not be able to help themselves and it also improves the quality of life for the citizens of your community.

I am a volunteer with the Salvation Army and today, I start the morning helping with the Salvation Army breakfast. It makes me feel good to know that I can help others.

By the way, I would like to wish the new recruits of 2008 all the best as they pursue their careers as Durham Regional Police Officers.
