I have an unlisted phone # - can 911 still track my address if I had an emergency?
May 11, 2009 21:55 ET
I am a single woman and live alone.
For protection and privacy reasons I have an unlisted phone # and my number on call display comes up as unknown name, unknown number.
I was wondering if 911 has a way to tell what my phone # is and where my address is if I were to have a medical emergency and was not able to say my name and address.
Thanks for your answer.
Yes, the emergency services will still be able to locate you. You can request a test call from DRPS by calling (905) 579-1520 ext. 6234 to ensure they are able to locate your home.
