Hi,

My name is Peter Vachon, the brother-in-law to Constable Stephen Neill.

This is a note of commendation and thanks towards the officers of Durham Regional Police for their assistance in Stephen's funeral and for the assistance towards his wife and my sister, Jacqueline Neill (Vachon) along with my family. The professionalism of your fellow officers in co-operation with Toronto Police Services was fantastic. I also speak on behalf of Stephen's family who came all the way from England. They too were very very impressed on the professionalism displayed by your officers along with the comfort they have shown to Stephen's family and especially towards Jacqueline. I especially would like to acknowledge the officers that worked the traffic detail out in the heavy rain on both May 15 and May 16 for their assistance with the funeral.

A sincere thanks goes to the minister and staff of the Oshawa Funeral Center for their assistance.

A sincere word of thanks goes to the officers and colleagues of Stephen Neill from the Toronto Police Services and all other units and divisions across Ontario.

Finally,

Thank you Stephen for the great memories that we've shared. You'll always be remembered and in our hearts and prayers. You're the best brother in law that I could ever have.

Missing you and remembering you always,

Peter Vachon, Jacqueline Neill, and family.
