I work for emergency services. One of my senior co-workers was caught driving while intoxicated. Although his vehicle was impounded, he continued to drive using his friend’s vehicles, thinking lightning doesn’t strike twice. If he was publicly embarrassed in the first place, I am sure he would not have continued to drive. The public would have no tolerance for an emergency service worker driving while under licence suspension. However this continued until he was caught yet again, 1 week before his 90 suspension was concluded. Now, he’s in serious trouble and his job is in jeopardy.
I am sure the embarrassment of having his name published would have stopped him from continuing to drive. I commend your department for this aggressive stance against drunk driving. Wish we had it all over Canada!
