I would like to cogratulate the DRPS and Dets. Marshall and Bawden for their efforts in helping victims of domestic violence in Durham. This must be a very stressful time for these victims and this program should go a long way in helping women in this community. I have noted in the police reports that there have been some arrests of females who have assaulted their partners. I would like to ask what services are available for these male victims and their children. Thank you.

Thank you for your comments.

DRIVEN is not only for female victims. Males are welcome to attend as well. At this time, DRIVEN's doors are not open to the public. The goal is June 2006. DRIVEN is not only for victims and witnesses as anyone can attend and gather information to educate themselves or someone they may want to help.

Lakeridge Health Oshawa has a full Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence team who treat all victims equally, female or male.
