As an older women, I question whether a policing career is an option. Does DRPS hire anyone over 30? I will be completing all relevant tests soon.

From our HR Department,

Age is purely a state of mind! In our last recruit class of nine which are currently attending the Ontario Police College, our Constables-in-Training ranged in age from 22 to 37 years of age. With age comes a variety of life experiences which, as a Police Service, we welcome! The testing aspect of the recruit hiring process assesses whether the candidate can perform the duties of the position of Police Officer. To discriminate based on age would be against the Ontario Human Rights Code. We welcome applicants of all ages from all backgrounds. If you require any further information about the recruiting process please feel free to view our careeers section of our website along with the applicant testing website at www.applicanttesting.com or contact our Recruiting Unit at (905) 579-1520 x3241.

Best of Luck with your future endeavours.
