Is it true that Courtice is opening up a police station? if yes, when will this be, and will their be a lot hiring for this? any news about the december/january intake?

From Clarington Community Police Office Inspector, Bill Temple:
The DRP is opening a joint emergency services building in partnership with the Town of Clarington and the Clarington Fire Department. Unfortunately, as opposed to hiring, we will be re-deploying some of our staff from the current Clarington police facility, as it is overcrowded. The Courtice facility will be run as a storefront operation with restricted hours, and will have a hotline for citizens when officers are not on site. The facility will be located on Trull's Road.

Editor's Note: The DRP has plans for an intake in December/January, but an exact number is not yet available.
