In a couple of your posts you mention how extandable batons are legal to carry as long as they are not concealed and not used in a threatening manner. How can that be?A baton falls under the definition of a weapon and cannot be carried in a public place unless its for a lawful reason, this being taken from the Canadian Criminal Code.

In our last post about batons, the writer asked about non-expandable batons. Certain batons, such as spring-loaded batons are prohibited.
