I live at the south end of Liverpool Road in Pickering at Broadview Street. The posted speed limit is 40 kmh, yet everyday and all day I observe vehicles travelling in excess of 60 to even 80 kmh. Five minutes ago I just signalled a dump truck driver to slow down as I was standing on my driveway. He looked to be doing approximately 60 kmh while being tailgated by a female driver in a minivan full of kids. I have found it to be increasingly challenging and even dangerous to exit my driveway and have even resorted to stopping my vehicle across Liverpool in order to slow an obviously speeding southbound vehicle as I am exiting my driveway. I've even done this as I am being tailgated going into my driveway and will not proceed until the vehicle behind me is forced to reverse to go around me. Yes, it is road rage and may even be inviting road rage from the other drivers, but I'm at my wits end dealing with this.
My driveway would be the ultimate radar trap and I invite DRPS to use my driveway at anytime in order to see that what I am saying is 100% true. You would have a field day handing out much deserved hefty fines to countless speeders.
