The Durham Regional Police Choir is growing; please add your voice to ours!

Instruction is provided on singing and breathing techniques. You do not have to be able to read music to join. Our choir sings a mixed program: show tunes, traditional ceremonial music, and popular songs. We need bass and tenor and alto voices; some soprano spaces are also available.

The Durham Regional Police Choir was formed in the spring of 2006, with support from the Durham Regional Police, Board and Association to positively represent the Police Service in a social and ceremonial environment through the medium of music.

This dedicated group is comprised of both community volunteers and members of the Service who reach an audience appreciating choral music. Members have the opportunity to personally grow as musicians and ambassadors of the Police Service.

Currently, the choir performs at the Ontario and National Police Memorials, at police ceremonial events such as recruit graduations, promotional swearing-ins and changes of command, community-based special events and concerts. We look forward to interacting with our community through song and welcome opportunities with various retirement residences and nursing homes.

“In harmony with our community”
