Annual Reports
Business Plans

The Durham Regional Police Services Board develops a three-year business plan that details the priorities, objectives and strategies that guide the delivery of police services in Durham Region. The 2017-2019 Business Plan identifies three key goals to focus on over the next three years:

  • Deliver Community Safety through Collaboration,
  • Demonstrate Excellence in Core Service Delivery, and
  • Build Strength in our Membership
These strategic goals will form the framework for the actions of our members as we work together to make Durham Region the safest place to live, work, and play. The goals and objectives contained within this plan are the product of extensive consultations with the citizens of Durham Region, business owners, members of our police service, municipal councils, and partner agencies who also work to provide community safety and wellbeing in our Region. By understanding the expectations of all parties who contribute to keeping our communities safe, we are better able to provide quality police services that reflect the needs of our citizens. The Chief of Police provides an update on the progress towards our Business Plan goals to the Police Services Board twice per year.
