Nine Vehicles Stolen in Four Days in Pickering & Ajax
Jul 27, 2018 12:25 ET

Police are asking residents to be vigilant after nine vehicles were stolen in four days from various residential driveways and businesses in Pickering and Ajax.

Investigators say from Tuesday, July 24 to Friday, July 27, 2018, they have had reports of nine vehicles of several makes and models stolen. In the majority of cases, the keys were left in the ignition or the vehicle was left running and unattended when it was stolen during the evening and overnight hours.

Residents are reminded to lock vehicles and remove any valuables from view, or better yet remove them from the vehicle. Its also important not to let your vehicle idle unattended and unlocked in the driveway or on the road. This will make it more difficult for someone to hop in and steal your vehicle.

There is no suspect information in the above cases but if anyone has further information please contact West Division at 905-579-1520. If your vehicle is stolen, please report to police.

Anonymous information can be sent to Durham Regional Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or online at www.durhamregionalcrimestoppers.ca and tipsters may be eligible for a $2,000 cash reward.
