  Pedestrian Struck at Pickering Town Centre

Investigators are asking any additional witnesses to come forward after a pickup truck struck a 72-year-old female pedestrian at the Pickering Town Centre yesterday.

On Wednesday, September 27, 2017, a 72-year-old female pedestrian was struck by a black GMC pickup truck in the parking lot of the Pickering Town Center, located at 1355 Kingston Road in Pickering. This incident occurred in front of the Sport Chek store at approximately 12:40 p.m. The driver of the truck stayed at the scene, came to the aid of the pedestrian and co-operated with the police.

As a result of this collision, the female sustained a head injury and was held overnight for observation at a local hospital. Investigators would like to speak to anyone who may have information about, or may have witnessed this collision.
