  Drug Charges Laid During Fire Investigation in Oshawa

Drug related charges have been laid against a suspect after officers responded to a fire in Oshawa Sunday evening.

On Sunday, October 15, 2017, at approximately 8:10 p.m., members of Central East Division were called to assist Oshawa Fire with a fire at a residential apartment on Oxford Street in Oshawa. The residence sustained substantial damage. Three parties were transported to local hospital, one with serious burns and all have since been released. During the fire investigation a quantity of drugs were located in the residence.

The Ontario Fire Marshall was called in to assist with this investigation.

Devin Michael WHITE, age 20 of Oshawa, has been charged with: Fail to Comply with Probation; Criminal Negligence Causing Bodily Harm; Produce a Schedule II Substance (Cannabis Resin) and Possess a Schedule II Substance (Marihuana). He was released on a promise to appear.
