  Impaired Driver Arrested After Collision in Newcastle

Police arrested a teenager for impaired driving after a single vehicle rollover Tuesday night in Newcastle.

On Tuesday, October 24, 2017, at approximately 8:30 p.m., a female driver was operating a motor vehicle southbound on Mill Street at a high rate of speed. The driver lost control of the white four-door Honda Accord, causing the vehicle to leave the roadway and rolling several times before landing in the bushes off the roadway. Both occupants were extricated from the vehicle by EMS and taken to a local hospital with serious injuries. The vehicle sustained extensive damage.

Nurool ALI, age 18, of York Mills Road in Toronto, is charged with: Impaired Operation cause Bodily Harm and Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle cause Bodily Harm. She was later released on a Promise to Appear.
