  Teen Charged After Stabbing Incident in Courtice

A 17-year-old Courtice male is facing charges after a fight broke out, leaving two victims with serious stab wounds.

On Saturday, November 4, 2017, at approximately 6:45 p.m., a fight broke out between a group males, ages 17 to 19, on a sidewalk along Avondale Drive near Brownstone Crescent. One of the males produced a knife and stabbed two of the other males. The suspect fled the scene on foot. The victims, both 17-year-old males, were taken to hospital for treatment of their serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Responding officers searched the area and located the suspect a short distance away.

A 17-year-old Courtice male is charged with Assault with a Weapon x2; Assault Cause Bodily Harm x2 and Possession of a Weapon Dangerous to Public Peace. He was held for a bail hearing.
