  Five Vehicle Collision with Serious Life-Threatening Injuries

A 35-year-old Oshawa female was seriously injured as a result of a motor vehicle collision which occurred on Harmony Road South near Tennyson Drive in Oshawa

On Monday, November 6, 2017 at approximately 8:18 a.m., members of Central East Division were called to the scene for a report of a collision. A loaded white commercial motor vehicle was southbound on Harmony Road South and was involved in a multi-vehicle collision causing extensive damage.

A 35-year-old female driver from one of the motor vehicles involved in the collision had to be extricated from her motor vehicle prior to being transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. She was subsequently transferred by air ambulance to a Toronto area trauma hospital where she remains in critical condition. Another female driver and her 2-month old baby were also injured; they were transported to local hospital with minor injuries.

Members of the DRPS Traffic Services Branch, Collision Investigation Unit, attended the scene to conduct an investigation. The roadway was closed for several hours while evidence was collected.
