  Theft Suspect Arrested After Fleeing from Police

A 41-year-old female faces numerous charges after fleeing from police on Tuesday morning in Ajax.

On Tuesday, November 7, 2017, at approximately 1:15 a.m., members of West Division were dispatched to a theft call on Westney Road and Kingston Road in Ajax. The complainant called to advise that a female had entered the gas station and stole numerous lottery tickets and drove off in a vehicle. Officers located the vehicle and attempted to initiate a traffic stop however, the vehicle refused to stop. After a short pursuit, the suspect eventually stopped and was arrested by police.

Karen SHAW, age 41, of no fixed address, is charged with: Theft under $5000; Flight from Police and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime. She was held for a bail hearing.
