  Suspect Arrested after Armed Robbery in Ajax

A male suspect was arrested after an armed robbery in Ajax on Saturday.

On Saturday, November 11, 2017, at approximately 6:15 a.m., officers in West Division responded to a robbery at the Shoppers Drug Mart on Westney Road in Ajax. A male suspect, entered the store brandishing a knife, he attended the customer service counter and made a demand for narcotics. The suspect took several items and fled the store.

No one was physically injured during the robbery.

The suspect was located in Whitby by officers several hours later. The male was taken into custody and is facing several charges.

Warren BOUDREAU, age 35 of Whitefoot Crescent in Ajax, is charged with: Robbery; Weapons Dangerous; Fail to Comply with Recognizance and Breach of Probation. He was held for a bail hearing.
