Two firearms, ammunition and drugs were seized during a drug investigation in Whitby.
On Friday, November 10, 2017, members of the Gun and Gang Unit arrested the suspect on Bayly Street in Ajax and later executed a search warrant at an address on Dufferin Street in Whitby as part of an ongoing drug investigation.
Officers discovered cocaine, Oxycontin pills, a DLASK 9mm handgun, Czech Small Arms 7.62 mm rifle, ammunition and Canadian currency during the execution of the warrant.
Rasheke GAYNOR, age 23 of Dufferin Street in Whitby, has been charged with: Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm x2; Contravention of a Storage Regulation; Careless Storage of a Firearm; Possession of a Schedule I Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking x3; Possession of a Firearm Knowing it�s Possession is Unauthorized x2; Possession of a Firearm with Ammunition; Possession of a Firearm Knowing Serial Number Tampered; Possession of a Firearm Obtained by Crime; Possession of a Prohibited Device and Possession of a Prohibited Device Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized. He was held for a bail hearing.
