  UPDATE - Suspects Sought Following Carjacking Incidents in Ajax

Police are looking for two male suspects after several carjacking and attempted carjacking incidents in north Ajax over the past month.

On Monday November 13, 2017, just before 9 p.m., a 17-year-old female was exiting her vehicle at a residence in the Westney and Rossland Road area when she was approached by two males. The suspects forced her into the back seat of her car at gunpoint and drove to a nearby bank machine where they withdrew some cash using her bank card. They drove around for a short time before letting her out of the car and driving off. She knocked on a nearby residence for help and police were contacted. Officers and K-9 searched the area with negative results. The vehicle was located abandoned a short time later. The victim was not physically harmed during the incident.

On Thursday, November 16, 2017, at approximately 1:15 a.m. a 24-year-old male was getting out of his vehicle in his driveway in the area of Ravenscroft Road and Rossland Road when he was assaulted by a masked suspect. A second suspect armed with a firearm made a demand for his keys and personal property. The victim refused and a struggle ensued. The suspects fled on foot empty handed. The victim suffered minor injuries.

After reviewing all the evidence from several incidents over the past month, Investigators believe that these suspects are responsible for six related robbery incidents in the north Ajax area.

Suspect #1 is described as: male, black, approximately 5' 9" tall in his early 20s. He was wearing dark clothing.

Suspect #2 is described as: male black, about 6' tall wearing dark clothing; this suspect had a hand gun.

Police would like to remind citizens to be vigilant, during the evening especially at late hours, make sure that you look around before exiting your vehicle and if you observe any suspicious people or something out of the ordinary contact police immediately. Make sure to keep your vehicle doors locked whenever possible.
