A 36-year-old male is facing 15 charges after he was connected to two thefts of commercial vehicles in Durham Region.
From November 6, 2017, until his arrest on November 23, 2017, the accused stole two commercial vans, one from a business in Brooklin and one from a business in Clarington. He also stole gas for the vans on two separate incidents.
Investigators were able to identify the suspect and obtain a warrant for his arrest.
Michael MCGILL, age 36 of Cobourg, is charged with: Theft of a Motor Vehicle x2; Theft Over $5,000; Breach of Probation x5; Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000 x3; Theft Under $5,000 x3 and Drive Motor Vehicle While Suspended. He was held for a bail hearing.
