Officers Spread Some Holiday Cheer to Seniors

Nov 30, 2017 11:19 ET

Durham Regional Police officers will once again be reaching out to residents at long-term care homes during this festive season.

Our eighth annual Seniors' Christmas outreach program begins in December as officers spend time with seniors in our region. Officers will bring gifts and chat with residents of long-term care homes. Many seniors are alone during the holidays and front-line DRP officers want to remind them they are valued and important members of our community. Media are invited, but must first report to the administrator at the location they attend.
