  Male Arrested After Stealing Two Vehicles

A 42-year-old male faces numerous charges after police located the suspect driving a stolen vehicle in Ajax Friday morning.

On Friday, December 8, 2017, at approximately 8:25 a.m., members of West Division responded to a stolen vehicle call at a gas station on Harwood Avenue and Kingston Road in Ajax. The suspect stole an unoccupied Ford Focus and drove off, police were able to locate this vehicle in Pickering and the suspect was arrested without incident.

Further investigation revealed that the suspect was also responsible for another vehicle theft earlier that morning. On Friday, December 8, 2017 at approximately 5:10 a.m., the suspect stole a Ford Escape from a coffee shop on Huron Street in Woodstock. This vehicle was located near the scene where the second vehicle was stolen but with extensive damage.

Christopher HOFFMAN, age 42, of Woodstock, Ontario, is charged with: Theft of Motor Vehicle x2; Possession of Property Obtained by Crime x2 and Drive While Under Suspension. He was held for a bail hearing.
