A 42-year-old Brampton man was charged in connection with a commercial motor vehicle insecure load in Ajax early this morning.

On Monday, December 11, 2017, at approximately 6:51 a.m., members of West Division responded to the report of a commercial motor vehicle that had its trailer detach from the tractor portion of the combination while driving. The incident occurred in the intersection of Salem Road and Highway 401 ramp in Ajax.

Witnesses report the incident occurred in the northbound lanes and was blocking north bound traffic on Salem Road. Police directed traffic while heavy tow trucks safely picked up the trailer and loaded it for removal from the scene. No injuries were sustained in the incident.
