  Serious Injury Motor Vehicle Collision in Oshawa

A 76-year-old Oshawa female pedestrian was seriously injured as a result of a motor vehicle collision that occurred last night in Oshawa.

On Tuesday, December 19, 2017, at approximately 5:20 p.m., members of Central East Division were called to the scene for a report of a motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian on Beatrice Street East at Trowbridge Court, Oshawa. A Chevrolet Cruze was traveling eastbound on Beatrice Street East when it collided with the pedestrian at the intersection.

The pedestrian was transported by air ambulance to a Toronto trauma center with what appeared to be life- threatening injuries. Her injuries were later found to be critical but non-life threatening injuries.

The 61-year-old Oshawa female driver of the Chevrolet remained on scene and was not injured.

Members of the DRPS Traffic Services Branch, Collision Investigation Unit attended the scene to conduct an investigation. The roadway was closed for several hours while evidence was collected.
