Police are looking for an 89-year-old male who has been reported missing by his family and there are concerns for his safety.
James PEARSON was last seen by a family member on Saturday, January 13, 2018, in his apartment in the area of Brock Street and Burns Street East in Whitby. When a family member checked on him today, they realized he had not been home for some time.
PEARSON is described as male, white, with grey hair and 5' 5" tall and approximately 110 lbs. He was last seen wearing a black Giants toque, a heavy, navy blue, down-filled coat that goes to his knees. He was possibly wearing track pants and running shoes.
He does not drive and he is known to walk around Whitby. PEARSON was possibly spotted late last night at the McDonalds at Brock Street by Highway 401 in Whitby. Investigators believe he could have possibly boarded a GO Train and travelled to the Toronto area.

Anyone with any information about the missing male is asked to call Det. McFarlane of the Central West Criminal Investigations Bureau at 1-888-579-1520, etc. 1835.
Anonymous information can be sent to Durham Regional Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 and tipsters may be eligible for a $2,000 cash reward.
