  Police Investigating After Shots Fired in Oshawa

Investigators are looking for witnesses after several shots were fired in Oshawa Saturday night.

On Saturday January 27, 2018, at approximately 9:35 p.m., police responded to Eagle Ridge Drive in Oshawa for reports of an armed person. A witness reported hearing gun shots and a U-Haul cargo vehicle was seen leaving the area. Officers located evidence of a shooting at the scene. Several bullets struck a residence, however the occupants inside the home were not hurt. A vehicle in the driveway was also struck by a bullet, but no one was in the vehicle at the time.

Surveillance video in the area captured the U-Haul pulling up to a residence on Eagle Street at approximately 9:20 p.m. A male is observed walking away from the U-Haul about a minute later before going out of camera range. A short time later the male is then seen running back to the vehicle and entering the passenger side. The U-Haul drives northbound on Eagle Ridge Drive and turns right on Greenhill Avenue.

The suspect is described as male, age 25-35 with a thin build, he was wearing a grey hooded shirt with the hood up. The vehicle is described as a U-Haul cargo truck with a roll up door at the back.

Police are appealing for witnesses or any information that could assist with this investigation.
