Police are looking to identify suspect(s), who stole firearms after two separate break and enters that occurred in Clarington over the weekend.
On Sunday, January 28, 2018, at approximately 1:30 a.m., the suspect broke into a residence on Mill Street gaining entry through the basement. The suspect stole cash and personal property and was confronted by a female homeowner. The suspect was startled and fled from the residence. The suspect left behind a samurai knife at the residence.
The suspect in this incident is described as male, white, 30-40 years wearing a beige toque and beige jacket.

On Sunday, January 28, 2018, between 1:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m., another break and enter occurred at a residence on Waverley Road in Clarington. During this incident, the suspect stole a Remington Express 870 12-gauge pump action shotgun, a Gatsan semi-auto 20-gauge, a non-functional Winchester 22 caliber rifle and several boxes of ammunition.
It is unknown if these two incidents are related.
