  Police Arrest Two Suspects After Shots Fired in Ajax

Investigators have arrested two suspects after several shots were fired in Ajax Thursday afternoon.

On Thursday, February 22, 2018, at approximately 1:10 p.m., members of West Division responded to a residence on Epps Court in Ajax after reports of shots fired. Police located evidence of a shooting at the scene. Several bullets struck a residence, however, the occupants inside the home were not hurt. The suspects were seen leaving the scene in a grey vehicle.

The suspect vehicle was later observed by officers, while officers pursued the vehicle, a handgun and drugs were discarded from the vehicle. With the assistance of the Tactical Support Unit, the vehicle was stopped and two suspects were arrested. A .45 caliber semi-automatic handgun and a quantity of heroin were seized nearby.

Jaedyn MILLS, age 21, of Ritson Road and Julien HEATH, age 21, of Yardley Street both from Oshawa face a combination of 36 charges including: Discharge Firearm with Intent to Endanger Life; Discharging Firearm Recklessly; Careless Use of Firearm and Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm. Both were held for a bail hearing.
