Police are investigating after a 39-year-old male drove a vehicle into a vacant home on Wilson Road South in Oshawa last night.

On Monday February 26, 2018, at approximately 10:15 p.m. officers responded to a home on Wilson Road South in Oshawa and found a four door Mazda inside the living room of the residence. It's believed the driver was travelling eastbound on Eulalie Avenue at a high rate of speed before running a stop sign and ending up inside the home. The lone occupant of the vehicle, a 39-year-old-male from Oshawa, had to be extracted from the vehicle by Oshawa Fire and was taken to hospital with minor injuries. It's believed drugs may have been a factor in the collision. There was no one in the home as the residence has been vacant for some time.

The City of Oshawa was called in to assist with the investigation due to the structural damage to the home.
