  Young Person Arrested Another Three Sought for Robberies in Oshawa

Investigators arrest one young person and search for three other suspects after two street-level robberies in Oshawa last week.

On Thursday, February 22, 2018 at approximately 7:00 p.m. a lone 14-year-old male was exiting the Oshawa Centre in the parking lot when he was approached by two males. The suspects made a demand for his property. One of the suspects was armed with a knife. The suspects didn't manage to get any property and fled on foot.

On the same date, at approximately 8:15 p.m., an 18-year-old was approached by the suspect who offered him drugs. The victim followed the suspect to the parking lot when a white van approached them, two suspects jumped out armed with knives and stole the victim's cell phone, wallet and jacket. All parties drove off.

A 16-year-old male from Clarington was charged with Robbery x2 and Possess Weapon for the Purpose of Committing an Offence x2. He was released on a Promise to Appear.

Investigators continue to look for three suspects; one is described as male, black, 15 to 17 years, medium build, wearing a red hooded sweater, a black Air Jordan jacket with yellow stripes down the sleeves, grey pants and beige boots.

The other two suspects are described as male, black, in their teens.

The suspect vehicle is believed to be a white Toyota Sienna.
