  Suspect Arrested after Convenience Store Robbed in Pickering

Investigators have arrested a suspect after a robbery at a Pickering convenience store Tuesday night.

At approximately 9:20 p.m. on Tuesday, January 2, 2018, members of West Division responded to a robbery at the Pickering Food Fair on Kingston Road east of Liverpool Road in Pickering. A lone male entered the convenience store and approached the clerk and made a demand for cash. The clerk was threatened and the suspect stole a quantity of cash before fleeing the scene. With the assistance of Air1 and K-9 the suspect was eventually located by uniform officers and taken into custody.

The employee didn't suffer any physical injuries.

Omar MCGREGOR, age 24 of Scenic Lane Drive in Pickering is charged with: Robbery; Disguise with Intent and Fail to Comply with Recognizance. He was held for a bail hearing.
