  Two Victims Stabbed after Altercation in Whitby

A 27-year-old male and a 19-year-old female were stabbed during an altercation overnight in Whitby.

On Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at approx. 10:40 p.m., both victims were on Thickson Road south of Taunton Road in Whitby walking with another friend when they were jumped by a male and female. During the altercation, the victims sustained stab wounds and the suspects fled northbound on foot. The 27-year-old male suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries and the 19-year-old female suffered minor injuries. Both were taken to a local hospital.

The investigation is ongoing and police are seeking assistance from members of the public who may have witnessed the incident. Police believe that this was not a random incident.
