Investigators from the Human Trafficking Unit have concluded a lengthy investigation which resulted in two more individuals being charged.
On Tuesday, December 4, 2018, members of the Human Trafficking Unit arrested a female suspect and have now charged three individuals in relation to this incident.
Delaney STUBBS, age 23 of Preston Street in Toronto is charged with: Advertise Sexual Service; Trafficking in Persons by Exercising Control and Procuring. She was held for a bail hearing.
Jowan LEWIS-THOMPSON, age 24 of Rockaway Street in Oshawa was arrested in November and was charged with: Assault; Engage in Conduct to Impede Administration of Justice and Fail to Comply with Probation Order. He was released on a Promise to Appear.
In Durham Region, the DRPS has set up a Human Trafficking Hotline at 1-888-5790-1520 ext. 4888. Police encourage the public to call this line with any information related to human trafficking.
