Jun 30, 2008 14:15 ET

Over 25 members and supporters of DRPS joined in the 28th Annual Pride Parade in downtown Toronto on June 29th.

Five thousand participants entertained a crowd of over one million revelers as they walked, rode and danced their way down the parade route. DRP members distributed Pride bracelets and DRP tattoos to the enthusiastic crowd.

Cst. Keith Richards, DRP Diversity Coordinator, was pleased with the reception and the many compliments paid to the DRP contingent. “I’m very happy about the level of commitment, not only from the community, but from our rank and file,” said Cst. Richards. “We look forward to future participation in this worthwhile event.”

The Human Resource Unit also had a recruiting booth at the parade site.
