  Help Police Identify this Theft and Fraud Suspect

The Durham Regional Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifiying a male wanted for theft and fraudulent use of a credit card.

On the 12th of July 2007, a male stole credit cards from a wallet he took from a car in a parking lot in Pickering. One credit card was subsequently used to purchase a welding machine from the Canadian Tire store in Pickering a short time later.

The male is seen paying for the welding machine and exiting the Canadian Tire store. The male is approximately 50-years-old, white, 5’8” to 5’10”, with a slim build and brown hair. He is wearing prescription glasses, a light coloured short sleeve shirt, khaki coloured shorts and white sandals.

Anyone with information is asked to call Det. MCFAYDEN at 19 Division (Ajax/Pickering) Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) at 905-579-1520 ext 2528. Anonymous tips can be made to Durham Regional Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) and tipsters may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $2,000.
