  Police Search for Missing Pickering Male

Police continue searching for a 28-year-old male who was reported missing from his Pickering residence.

On Friday May 15, 2009, the fiance of the missing man reported his disappearance to police and the search continues to locate this individual. A search of the missing person’s residence revealed several items of personal property still accounted for including the man’s personal vehicle. The disappearance of this man is considered unusual and police and family members are appealing to the public to assist in locating him.

Manou SOKPOR, 28-years-old, is described as: male, black, 5’ 9” tall, weighing approximately 194 lbs with a muscular build.

The missing man has connections to several communities in Ontario including Ottawa, Toronto, Peel Region, York Region, Halton Region and Barrie.

Investigators from 19 Division in Pickering have interviewed numerous witnesses and the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact Det. Price of the 19 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau at 1-888-579-1520 ext. 1924. Anonymous tips can be made to Durham Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) and tipsters may be eligible for a cash reward up to $2000.
