Officer Receives Prestigious Award
Durham Regional Police Sergeant Paul Hallett was recognized recently for his outstanding achievement in a Police Leadership Program.
The prestigious Sgt. Bruce MacPhail Award for Academic Excellence from Dalhousie University was given to Sgt. Hallett upon the completion of the program. The award is granted annually to the top academic performer.
“I’m honoured to receive this award and proud to be able to represent the Durham Regional Police in this regard, “said Sgt. Hallett. “The courses are relevant, challenging and an excellent way to develop new skills. I plan to continue in the Dalhousie University Police Leadership Program, with the goal of earning the Advanced Certificate in Police Leadership.”
Paul joined Durham Regional Police in 1999 and also volunteers with Scouts Canada and the Kidney Foundation of Canada, for which he was also recognized for his volunteerism.
Congratulations to Sgt. Hallett on his achievement.
