  Come Out and Support Memorial Run

Sworn and civilian members of the Durham Regional Police Service will run across Durham Region in the 5th Annual National Peace Officers’ Memorial Run on Thursday, September 24.

The “Run to Remember” goal is to raise funds and awareness for the upcoming Police and Peace Officers’ National Memorial Service, on September 27.

As the event makes its way across the province, officers and civilians will pay tribute to those who have lost their lives in the line of duty. The run starts in Toronto at Ontario Police Memorial and finishes in Ottawa at Parliament Hill.

The Durham Region route starts at 12:00 p.m. and continues along Highway #2.

1. Altona Road, Pickering to Westney Road, Ajax
2. Westney Road, Ajax to Anderson Street, Whitby
3. Anderson Street, Whitby to Centerfield Drive, Clarington
4. Centerfield Drive, Clarington to Liberty Street, Bowmanville
5. Liberty Street, Bowmanville to Stephenson Road, Newcastle
6. Stephenson Road, Newcastle to East Townline Road, Newtonville
7. East Townline Road to Highway 401 Overpass, Wesleyville
