  DRP Needs Your Feedback

Dec 03, 2009 10:05 ET

At the November meeting of the Durham Police Services Board the Draft 2011-2013 Business Plan was approved. The Draft Business Plan is the product of extensive community consultation both by the Police Services Board and the Service. There were eight community consultations held in each municipality, plus an additional ten consultations with various groups from Regional Council, Youth advisory, seniors groups, and the Durham District School Board. In addition a survey was made available on the Durham Police Website as well as an email address for comments as another venue for community feedback.

Internal consultations involving front line officers and civilian members in various units of our Service were also carried out in group settings. To ensure that all strata of our organization were included almost every Senior Officer and Manager was interviewed individually.

The Durham Regional Police is committed to ensuring community feedback and our draft Business Plan has been posted for any additional public comments or suggestion. Your comments regarding this draft plan will be used to ensure that we have captured the collective ideas and priorities of the residents of our Region.

Please review our shared direction for the future and send your comments to: businessplan@drps.ca. If you prefer to send your comments in writing they can be addressed to:
