  Help Clean Up Uxbridge

Apr 28, 2010 12:08 ET

Come out on Saturday and help us clean up our community at a graffiti cleanup event in Uxbridge.

In a response to the growing concern of graffiti problems in Uxbridge, Durham Regional Police Service has partnered with the Uxbridge Youth Centre and the Township of Uxbridge to organize an event to remove graffiti from public areas.

Beginning at noon at the Uxbridge Youth Centre, volunteers will disperse to clean up areas targeted by graffiti in Uxbridge. Cleaning supplies will be provided by Canadian Tire and Durham Regional Police will be providing a pizza lunch for volunteers.

This event is open to all members of the community and will be a great way for Uxbridge residents, youth and adults alike, to show pride and ownership in their community. Prior to the event, members of the community are invited to report a “target area” by contacting the Uxbridge Youth Centre at 905-862-3456.
