  Help Police Identify This Suspect

Police are appealing to the public for their assistance in identifying a lone male suspect, armed with a knife, who robbed a Sunoco Gas Bar in Whitby.

On Saturday June 19, 2010 at approximately 3:30 a.m. officers from the Central West Division responded to a robbery incident on Brock Street North in Whitby at the Sunoco Gas Bar. A lone male employee was accosted by a male suspect, armed with a knife, and robbed of an undisclosed amount of cash. The employee was not physically injured. The suspect fled on foot southbound on Brock Street and was not located by police.

The suspect is described as: male, white, 5’ 5”, 19-23 years, with short brown hair, blue eyes, thin build and wearing a blue and white long-sleeved collared dress shirt, black pants and black running shoes.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Det. Jim Houston or D/Cst. Scott Airey of the Major Crime Robbery Unit at 1-888-579-1520 ext. 5355.
