  Do You Know This Man?

Police are appealing to the general public to identify a suspect who stole an expensive television from a senior’s residence in Whitby last weekend. Images of the suspect are attached.

On Saturday August 21, 2010 at approximately 3 a.m. a lone male suspect forcibly entered the senior’s apartment on Glen Hill Drive South in Whitby, stole a 42” plasma television from the wall of the exercise room in the basement and left undetected. The suspect was caught on video leaving through the parking garage with a dolly transporting the stolen television.

The suspect is described as: male, white, in his early 20’s, 5’10”, with a medium build, fair complexion and brown wavy hair wearing dark clothing including a hoodie to disguise his appearance.

Investigators are appealing to the public for assistance in identifying the male.

Anyone with new information to this investigation is asked to contact D/Cst. Dan Weiner of the Central West Criminal Investigative Bureau at 1-888-579-1520 ext. 1827. Anonymous tips can be made to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or on the Crimestoppers website and tipsters are eligible for a cash reward of up to $2,000.
