  Child Abuse Prevention Month

Oct 04, 2010 10:32 ET

Chief Constable Mike Ewles joined dozens of local school kids, educators and representatives of the Children's Aid Society to launch Child Abuse Prevention Month on Oct. 1st.

Held at the CAS headquarters at 1320 Airport Blvd. in Oshawa, the students from Adelaide McLauglin Public School in Oshawa held purple balloons and displayed purple ribbons for photographers in hopes of raising awareness about child abuse in Durham Region.

If you suspect a child is being abused or neglected in our community, please contact the CAS at 1-905-433-1551.
