  DRP Appeals to the Public for Information

D/Cst. Brett Rayne from the Traffic Services Collision Investigation Unit is appealing to the public for more information regarding a collision that left two females with serious injuries.

Shannelle Spear-Davis and Krista Sinclair were injured on January 17, 2011 when a vehicle suddenly entered their lane. They swerved to avoid a collision and were hit head on by a delivery truck. Both girls sustained numerous injuries that will require months of recovery. The collision occurred on Thickson Road, north of Consumers Drive in Whitby

Members of the DRPS Traffic Services Branch, Collision Investigation Unit would like to speak to anyone who may have information or who may have witnessed this incident.

Investigators would like to speak with the driver and/or passengers of a dark coloured, newer model SUV travelling in the area at the time of the collision.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call D/Cst. Brett Rayne at 1-888-579-1520 ext. 5256. Anonymous information can be sent to Durham Regional Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 and tipsters may be eligible for a $2,000 cash reward.
