  Help Police Locate Stolen Sculptures

Mar 14, 2011 09:17 ET

On Saturday September 11, 2010, between 6:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. unknown parties stole several wooden sculptures made by a local chainsaw artist in North Ajax.

These are large, unique sculptures of animals which were handcrafted and carved on the property from which they were stolen. In particular, one owl, one eagle and one bear were stolen. They are similar in nature to the photos below. Each sculpture is large and would require a van, truck or cube van to remove.

They each have unique markings which are identifiable by the artist and police are requesting the help from the public in the hopes that the sculptures may be returned to the artist.

Anyone with any knowledge to the possible whereabouts of the owl, eagle or bear sculptures are asked to contact Detective Patrick Waters at West Division by phone at 905-579-1520, ext. 2534 or by email at pwaters@drps.ca.
