Crime Prevention Displays Set Up Across Durham

Nov 08, 2011 11:40 ET

Members of the community are invited to discuss safety issues and browse displays as Crime Prevention Week continues across Durham Region. The event kicked off at the Pickering Town Centre on Monday and continues throughout the week.

DRPS has set up several display booths providing information on home security, Road Watch, fingerprinting your children, fraud, personal safety and Neighbourhood Watch.

Officers and police volunteers are available to answer your questions and residents are encouraged to come by and discuss any concerns you may have and to pick up some informational brochures. Police will have the displays throughout the Region this year.

The remainder of the schedule is as follows:

Tuesday November 8: Regional Headquarters in Whitby from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Wednesday November 9: Oshawa Centre from 9:30 a.m. – 9 p.m.
