Officers Visit Local Seniors This Holiday Season

Dec 12, 2011 11:44 ET

Durham Regional Police officers are once again reaching out to senior citizens at long-term care homes during this festive season.

Our second annual Senior’s Christmas outreach program begins Monday as officers spend time with the growing numbers of aging seniors in our region.

Officers will be bringing gifts and will spend time chatting with residents of multiple long-term care homes. Many seniors are alone during the holidays and frontline DRP Officers want to remind them they are valued and important members of our community.
