  Help Police Identify This Suspect

Police investigators now have images of suspect(s) involved in a Clarington residential break-in from late January in which a stolen credit card was used at two gas stations in Whitby following the break-in.

On Saturday January 28, 2012 between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m. unknown suspect(s) committed a break and enter into a residence in the vicinity of Rudell Road and King Avenue West in Clarington. Suspects forced entry through a back window, gaining access inside the home. Suspects then ransacked several rooms and stole expensive hi-end electronic items such as a 32" LCD flat screen TV; Apple cinema display monitor; LG Flatron 12' monitor; Mac Pro G5 Apple computer tower and 23' silver monitor.

The victim is strongly appealing to have a particular item, a tower with precious family photos, returned. Also stolen was an American Express Visa card which was used by the suspect(s) twice at two gas stations in Whitby following the break-in. Both gas stations captured the suspect on surveillance video.

The suspect is described as: light-skinned black male, in his 20s, with facial hair and wearing dark clothing including a ball cap.

The investigation is ongoing and investigators are appealing for information to identify the suspect(s) involved. Images of the suspect captured in the gas bar are attached or can be viewed at www.drps.ca under Media Releases.
